What Is An Intraoral Scanner?
How does an intraoral scanner increase accuracy and decrease treatment time? Mark Teach, an experienced dentist in Buffalo explains. If you have questions, or would like to schedule your first dental appointment, please contact us today.
The intraoral scanner is a device that’s used to take pictures of the teeth inside the mouth, sometimes eliminating the need to take a dental impression. The unit is moved around, and scanned in the mouth, and is sent to a computer. The computer actually puts together the patient’s mouth on the computer screen.
